Well, I’m finally back to playing Sims! I had Jodie graduate, here’s what happened:


Jodie had a graduation party and accidentally invited a teacher who had been infatuated with her several semesters previously. The teacher tried to kiss Jodie, but Jodie brushed her off - but Lainey saw it all. In this picture, Jodie is trying to convince Lainey that the teacher means nothing to her anymore…but meanwhile, the teacher is crying in the corner. Later she tried to leap into Jodie’s arms - she caught the teacher, but shooed her away immediately.

Lainey is not happy with Jodie, but lets her have a hug and they make up after all.

Lainey (who has finally changed into her formal clothes for the graduation party) casually bumps shoulders with the infatuated teacher.

Lainey looks up how to drop out of school so she can be with Jodie.

“What do you mean I can’t ever come back?!” Turns out there’s no way for Sims to come back to college after they’ve grown up and become Adults. (She actually acquired this facial expression for something else…not sure why…just wore it for a while.)

Lainey grows up! She looks so much nicer now that she’s taken her hair down and dressed up. (It fixed her facial expression too!)

Unfortunately, after this point, I managed to exit without saving. So Lainey and Jodie were right back where they were…a freshman and a junior. I decided to go back into their house and have them drop out immediately. They are now living in a little place in Pleasantview, where I

Jodie and Lainey got engaged the very next day after Jodie tried to move too fast! Within minutes after moving in, Lainey had accepted Jodie’s proposal. So they still haven’t made woo hoo, but at least they live together and they’re engaged. I was a little surprised that even though Lainey’s been in college for as long as Jodie, she’s still a freshman and still hasn’t declared her major. She wants to be a mad scientist, though, so she’s now majoring in mathematics.

Unfortunately, Lainey hasn’t learned much in the way of mechanical skills yet. So when the computer broke after she declared her major, Lainey had…well…a little accident.

(At this point I was pretty sure she was going to die. I know electrocution is a way to kill a Sim, so I thought Lainey was a goner - and right after they’d gotten engaged!)

This was my first clue that she MIGHT survive but I still wasn’t sure. Getting electrocuted wasn’t one of her fears but she still lost a ton of aspiration points.

Lainey is not looking really good. In addition to being totally black in the face, she’s blubbering like an idiot - her aspiration was knowledge but she doesn’t seem to be sure what to do with that now - and she looks totally despondent. Poor Lainey!

Jodie finally woke up and came downstairs to see what the fuss was all about. I wanted to see if she could comfort Lainey, but instead there was a different option…Introduce to Therapist! I guess that really is what Lainey seems to need right now.

Jodie looks on in amusement as Lainey hops around like a monkey and beats her chest like a gorilla.

Fortunately, Lainey remembers how do to basic tasks. She went to the bathroom of her own accord, and got in the tub on command. I think it’s interesting that her clothes protected the rest of her body from the smoke - only her face is dirty!

“I’ve had a really hard day…can I please go to bed now?!”

Jodie Bellinger has had a tough time in the love department. Like most of my Sims, she is always ready to put the moves on people, but they rarely reciprocate. But this time…

After playing hard to get for a long time - like, all through freshman and sophomore years - Lainey finally relented and kissed Jodie. Jodie invited her to stay the night, and she said yes!

And finally the two fell in love! Jodie’s left behind her bad girl punk roots, but she loves seeing that bit of herself in Lainey. Unfortunately, as happens all too often with my Sims, Jodie moved too fast. She tried to woo hoo with Lainey, who was having none of it! She stormed out at 2:40am despite her promise to stay the night. It’s just a lover’s quarrel, though - they’re still in love with both red and pink hearts by their names.

Life has been moving right along for Jodie Bellinger, who is now about to take her final exams during her first semester of junior year at Académie Le Tour.

The fun continues with Lainey, who enjoys playing all kinds of games with Jodie. As you can see here, she enjoys playing the Pillow Fight game…

And unfortunately, she also likes playing the “Make Jodie Think I’ll Put Out” game. Poor Jodie! She loves Lainey with a passion but it seems nothing will come of it.

During finals crunch time in sophomore year, Jodie went a little crazy and streaked through the dorm. Shortly thereafter, she was asked to find other housing.

Fortunately, by borrowing a few dollars from Daddy, Jodie was able to afford her own place. It was pretty sparsely furnished, but she added what she’d brought from the dorm and bought a few more essentials to make it feel like home.

Jodie does her first homework assignment at the new place! Why yes, she is growing her hair out, thanks for noticing! This was the very beginning of junior year.

Rumor has it there are secret societies on campus, and Jodie’s been on the lookout for their special uniforms. Because she’s not sure what they look like, she’s been chatting up everybody she can find…including a cow. Jodie isn’t sure if secret society members dress like cows, but why risk alienating someone who could be helpful later?

Jodie Bellinger went to college! She was getting pretty good grades in high school, so she decided she was ready for university. She’s at L’Academie de Tour, aka Tower College.

Arlen was so proud to see his little girl all grown up! Much to Jodie’s relief, he didn’t cry why he dropped her off…at least not much.

Jodie found out quickly that college is tough. Fortunately her dad sent her a cute little teddy bear to keep her company! Jodie loves her teddy because he cheers her up any time she plays with him. (And makes her clean, and makes her not have to go to the bathroom, and…*cough cough*)

Jodie has a major crush on Lainey, who is the same kind of punk girl Jodie was herself before coming to college and being told to dress nicely. Unfortunately Lainey doesn’t return the passion, and she frequently puts her fingers in her ears when Jodie is talking. But even Lainey can’t resist a good game of kicky bag!

Originally, Jodie was majoring in economics, hoping to become a big cheese. But she decided she hated it after all, and she switched to drama! You’ve got to have a good tough body, so she headed off to the gym on campus to work out. She found somebody wearing her exact same clothes, how embarrassing! They did make a good pair on video though.

Jodie took a swim before heading back to the dorm. Hope the taxi driver doesn’t mind wet seats…ahem.

So far, Jodie is doing a great job at school! Drama really turns out to be the field she loves most…for now…until she changes her mind again!

Although that’s not actually likely, because Jodi just loves Professor Madeline…they have a bit of a crush on each other!

Jodie got an A+ for her first year of college and made the Dean’s List!

Arlen is having a real hard time finding a job. Of course it would help if he wasn’t so set on becoming a Mad Scientist…maybe he should just work as a slacker until he can land a science job. Then again, the family is plenty wealthy, he probably doesn’t even have to work!

The Bellingers have just moved into town, and what’s the first thing they do? Yup, start a pillow fight. This is Arlen Bellinger and his teenage daughter Jodie. His sister Sarah has already gone inside the house, sat down at the computer, and found herself a job in the tourism industry. Gee, who’s the responsible one in this family?

Camille is a very funny looking kid. Check out her toddler life…

When Camille was a baby, she looked like all babies…normal. But then she turned into a toddler, and apparently she got hit by the ugly stick.

Melanie says, “Damn, you sure did get your looks from your father, Camille.”

Unfortunately, every time she wakes up, she grabs the edge of her crib and starts hollering her head off. She sways back and forth with the effort of crying…apparently it’s really hard to be Camille.

But there is the occasional peaceful moment, as seen here, where she is cuddling her teddy bear.

Kennedy hates when people scarf their food and make a big mess at the table. He especially hates it when they get mac and cheese in his cake.

I’m not sure how great a caretaker Melanie is. She’s tucking Camille into her crib, and that’s fine, but…

She also leaves her infant on the kitchen floor! Hopefully Camille will grow up before she gets too neglected…
