Loving Kennedy

  

At last! At long, long last! Melanie has finally gotten engaged! Her relationship with Kennedy has finally gotten serious and she’ll get to have kids that I can raise and send to college!

Is This a Bug?

This is odd, Melanie left for work being trailed by soap bubbles (she was cleaning right before leaving) and then she came back hours later still with soap around her.

A Man in Bed

Finally! After at least a week of unrequited crushes, Melanie gets a man into her bed! They did a little bit of making out but nothing else, but at least she’s got a chance with somebody! His name is Kennedy Cox and he got hit by the ugly stick as a child…let’s hope Melanie’s genetics are stronger than Kennedy’s.

Let the Police Handle It

 

Melanie had a burglar shortly after moving in, this was one of her greatest fears but she had nothing to worry about - the police came right away thanks to the burglar alarm Melanie installed when she moved in! The thief seemed to be getting the upper hand over the cop for a while, but she overcame him! Fortunately Melanie is not at all bothered by the scuffle taking place in her foyer. She’s quite happy to continue working on her painting skills - painting seems to be her favorite hobby.

How cool is this?! Sims 2 has a video capture mode. This was low quality, tiny size, but I can try making it bigger and better next time. Look, Melanie’s having cereal before her first day of work! Fascinating!

Melanie’s Hearing Aid

  

It may not be realistic, but there is a hearing aid out there. It technically shows up under glasses, but as you can see it just goes right over her ear. It’s kind of blocky and the colors are surreal, but there it is! If I knew how to make stuff, I’d make a cochlear implant just for the sake of having it available for little implanted kids who love to play Sims. Then again, if I had my choice, I’d have deaf Sims, blind Sims, etc. This hearing aid is currently only available for adult females; you can find it here.

Meet Melanie

This is Melanie Ross, she’s the first Sim I created using my newly installed version of Sims 2! I was playing Sims Life Stories before, and it turns out my computer can handle Sims 2, so I got it plus the University pack. If the picture looks a little stretched, I think it’s because I was playing in full screen mode. I figured out how to play it in a window so I will do that in the future.

Meanwhile, let me tell you about Melanie. She was born a poor black child…wait, no, that’s Steve Martin. Melanie comes from a fairly normal background and she just moved to Pleasantview. She wants to get rich and buy the really fancy $250,000 house in town, but right now she’s in a tiny place just big enough for herself. She wants to date around a bit, meet somebody nice, and start a relationship. She’s hoping her kids will go off to college, but her main goal in life right now is to earn some cash!

Corrine’s Birthday

She grew up into a child! Unfortunately she’s not quite as adorable as she was when she was a toddler…the “pinching” in her cheeks is more prominent now. But she achieved the level of Precocious Preschooler, which means she is well on the way to perfection!

Headmaster’s Visit

James is an ambitious little scholar, so he invited the headmaster of the local private school to come visit. Karen gave him a tour of the house while Laura cooked up a nice salmon dinner. Unfortunately, Ethan decided to drop by as well - see him in the background? - and he made a mess all over the place. The headmaster was not impressed, and James will be staying in the public school system for now, where he’s hoping to draw his grade up from B+ to A.

Teaching Corrine Sign

Don’t forget, Karen is teaching the kids to sign! She taught James how to say “Daddy” and now she’s teaching Corrine how to spell her mom’s name.
